The Lowcountry Immigration Coalition is proud to be named as a plaintiff in this important lawsuit against the draconian anti-immigrant bill legislated by the state of South Carolina. This action is one step toward reversing this unconstitutional law and reaffirms the role of the federal government as responsible for immigration policy in the United States, not the States. We further believe that this lawsuit furthers the cause of justice, equality, and the protection of civil liberties of all our Hispanic citizens.
